Disability voting rights come into focus across Missouri and beyond.
Governor Michael Parson, on Monday, gathered this week with various advocates to proclaim Disability Voting Rights Week in the state of Missouri.
The nationally-recognized week is a non-partisan movement hosted by the American Association of People with Disabilities and REV-UP to celebrate community, advocacy and building power.
It’s estimated that there are 44.2 million Americans with disabilities including, among others: trouble with hearing, vision, cognition, self-care and independent living.
Disability Voting Rights Week, in Missouri, started Monday and goes through this Friday.
