Head On Car Crash In Camden County Sends One To The Hospital

A head-on collision on Route-MM near Spruce Road in Camden County sends one person the hospital.

The highway patrol says it happened early Saturday afternoon when the pickup driven by 54-year-old Mark Orender of Lees Summit ran off the roadway.

Orender overcorrected sending the pickup back across the roadway into the path of 59-year-old Terry Shore of Sunrise Beach.

Shore was uninjured while Orender was treated for minor injuries at Lake Regional.

Orender is also expected to be formally charged with a felony DWI.

He was being held in the Camden County Jail.
