Following up on the announcement of a recent multi-agency drug seizure in Camden County worth about a million-dollars, one question which may come to mind is where was the stuff headed?

According to the sheriff’s department’s Sergeant Scott Hines, the cache of mushrooms, T-H-C, marijuana and narcotics pills may have been destined to stay, and be distributed, locally in the Horseshoe Bend area where it was seized from.

“I think that based on the location where we seized these things from, it’s a pretty good indicator that this stuff was probably destined for the market over the summer in the entertainment districts of Camden County.”

Camden County deputies, task force officers from the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group and troopers from the highway patrol teamed up to execute the drug-related search warrant at a residence just off Bittersweet Road.

As of this past Friday, there have been no charges filed to date in connection to the seizure but the investigation does continue.
