Lake West Chamber Announces 12th Annual Kids Fishing Derby

The Lake West Chamber of Commerce is hoping to get kids hooked on fishing during the 12^th annual kids fishing derby.

“So it’s a free event for local kids at Captain Ron’s. Every kid will go home with something. We have prizes for every kid. We also have top prizes for biggest fish and most fish caught by multiple age groups.” 

The derby on September 10^th is open to all kids ages 0-14.

Life jackets are required and will be available along with a limited amount of fishing gear for those who need it.

The event begins with registration from 12:00-1:00 followed by the fishing from 1:00-3:00 and the bragging rights that will last until, at least, the 13^th annual event.
