MDC To Discuss Prescribed Burning Across Portions Of The Lake

Missouri’s Department of Conservation is setting up a meeting to weigh interest from landowners in creating a Prescribed Burn

Conservation Agent Cory Gregg will see if they’re interested “Prescribed Burning Association” that will  encompass Camden, Dallas, Hickory, and Laclede counties.

Gregg says that prescribed burning will have many benefits.

He says it’s a landowner led association that will educate people on wildlife enhancement, through native grass and wildflowers, and to help get rid of excess fire fuel from the landscape, control invasive species,

The meeting is set for December 2^nd at 6:30 pm at Macks Creek High School on December 2nd at 6:30 pm.
