Don’t look now, but the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend is just around the corner.
Although the holiday traditionally starts what many consider to be the main season at Lake of the Ozarks, Camdenton Chamber Director K-C Cloke says it really just marks that time of the year to hit high gear.
“We do still have a little bit of a shoulder season, but we are busy all year round because, as you know, we also produce the Christmas on the square. And then once January hits, we’re already getting so close to our home business and lake living expo and so there’s never a dull moment.”
Cloke goes on to say the main season is also a time for lake area chambers and other tourism officials to try and get a good grasp on housing and child care needs around the lake area.
