The State of Missouri continues taking aim at transgender issues especially when it comes to children who have no voice or political power when trying to put certain safeguards in place.
“We need to do a better job to make sure that children aren’t really being butchered with transgender surgery or that the chemical castration. You know, if you’re an adult and you’re doing it with your own money, that’s that’s your decision” says Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft.
He says one Senate Bill was passed to strengthen the safeguards but is only a short-term solution with a four-year sunset.
Otherwise, Ashcroft goes on to say that this year’s General Assembly has been pretty much a failure so far….“Are we going to do something or are we just going to have news conferences and social media? We need to act and get stuff done for the people of the state.”
Ashcroft was a guest on the Monday Morning “Morning Magazine.”
