The nightly rentals issue in Lake Ozark has been settled by a vote of the city Board on Tuesday night to amend an ordinance so as to allow them in Residential 1 and 2 zones within the city.

Several people voiced opposition to allowing them during the meeting’s public comment period, while one person spoke in favor of the change.

The board also reversed a ban on throwing candy to paradegoers during sanctioned parades in the city, and new police chief Jeff Christiansen was formally sworn into that position.
