The city of Osage Beach needs a new city attorney, as current city attorney Edward Rucker has announced he’s accepted a job closer to his home near Kansas City.
Mayor Michael Harmison tells KRMS…“He’s from the Kansas City area originally…..and he had the opportunity to go back to Lee Summit and work as an Assistant City Attorney and in his words it’s basically “A little less Money, but a little less work.””
The move by Rucker will also have him working minutes from his home rather than hours away.
Mayor Harmison says the city has already begun “putting feelers out” to find a successor, and could possibly appoint an interim city attorney if it needs to.
