Retired Camden County K9 Deputy Put to Sleep After Cancerous Tumor Discovered

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office has announced that Zed, a retired 12-year-old Dutch Shepherd who served as a K-9 deputy, has crossed over the rainbow bridge.

Zed served Camden County from 2018 until his retirement in 2023 before spending his final years with his handler…a current officer for the Lake Ozark Police Department.

With assistance of Valeo Veterinary, Zed was put down after an aggressive and inoperable cancerous tumor was recently discovered.
