School Of The Osage Looks At Long Range Planning

When it comes to school districts around the lake area, long-range facility planning is often a topic of discussion that continues to evolve from one year to another.

“We did a lot of work…uh…last year, last fall actually…..getting some community members together, looking at some facility needs….and we’re going to re-address some of those things,” says School of the Osage Superintendent Doctor Jason Price .

He tells KRMS News when it comes to any facility planning, the number one focus will always start with safety and security, “We’ve got some buildings that we want to make sure that we’re getting some more security measures in, whether it be in the front entryway, so that we can see those keep our kids safe and secure, but also allowing some access to our community members as well.”

That safety and security, according to Doctor Price, extends from the physical precautions utilized by a district to the eyes and ears of staff and faculty being vigilant of what’s happening throughout any given school day.
