St. Louis Area Lawmaker Resurrects Red Flag Law Bill

A democratic lawmaker who tried but failed twice to win approval of a Red Flag gun law for Missouri is trying again.

Following the deadly school shootings just over a week ago in St. Louis, St. Louis County State Senator Doug Beck is resurrecting his bill that could remove firearms from people deemed as posing a danger to themselves or others.

The Republican controlled legislature is not likely to back such a proposal, and Republican Governor Mike Parson has responded by saying that Missouri should invest more in mental health resources, not more gun legislation.
