Tradition is set to return to the fairgrounds this week as the 121st Missouri State Fair opens up in Sedalia.
Hundreds of thousands will make their ways to the fair which, according to State Fair Director Mark Wolfe, serves as a showcase to the state’s top industry.
“Agriculture in Missouri is the number one producer of revenue to the state, and second is not even close. So, you know, it’s that important in our to our state. And I think the annual state fair is the largest showcase each year for agriculture in Missouri. And it’s a great time to come out and have some fun and support the number one industry in our state.”
In addition to the agricultural highlights, the state fair will also feature a carnival, some food, musical entertainment, some more food, various exhibits and of course some more food.
The Missouri State Fair opens up on the 10th and comes to a close on the 20th.
