Driving too fast on a gravel road is being blamed for a one-vehicle accident that sent two people from Climax Springs to the emergency room.
The highway patrol says it happened early Thursday night on Doods Camp Road, near Adkins Road, when the pickup driven by 67-year-old Jimmy Hammond slid off the road and struck a tree.
Both Hammond and his passenger, 62-year-old Delbert Ritter, were not wearing seat belts and escaped with moderate injuries when they were ejected from the pickup.
They were both taken to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
