Two Dead In Southern Missouri House Fire

Two people are dead following a house fire over the weekend in Lawrence County in southwest Missouri.

The Daily Dispatch says Pierce City fire personnel responded Saturday night to the location at the corner of Myrtle and Pierce streets and, upon arrival, the house was heavily involved with a report that at least one person was trapped inside.

After the fire was extinguished, two bodies were discovered.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
