Two Women Facing Charges In Catalytic Converter Thefts

Two women face charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle’s catalytic converter in Moniteau County.

In a news release the Sheriff’s Office says 39 year old Lisa Owens and 19 year old Hayley Breig of California Missouri are charged with felony stealing.

No court dates have been scheduled yet.

Law enforcement officials say catalytic converters contain high-value metals that can be sold, and such thefts tend to rise during the off-season here in the Lake Area.
