Voluntary Boil Water Order In Effect For Sunrise Beach

A voluntary boil water order is in effect for portions of Sunrise Beach.

According to the Fire District, a leak was found in the water main in an area where there are aging lines.

That leak has since been repaired.

Currently the village is awaiting test results before they will release the order.

Properties affected include Chimney Point and Shawnee Four Drive.

It’s recommended to boil water for at least 5 minutes when using it for cooking or drinking.
