13-Year-Old Drowns in Private Pond in Morgan County

A 13-year-old boy from Barnett is dead after another drowning is reported at Lake of the Ozarks.

The highway patrol says this one happened late Wednesday afternoon at a residence along Rock Quarry Road in Morgan County.

The youngster was not wearing a life jacket and failed to resurface after entering the private pond. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
