Damage Kept to Minimum After HVAC Unit Catches on Fire at Dollar General in Sunrise Beach

Lake area firefighters make quick work out of a reported commercial structure fire at the Dollar General store on State Road F in Sunrise Beach.

Fire Chief Joseph LaPlant says, upon arrival, flames were showing from the outside HVAC unit behind the store with smoke reported inside the store.

The fire was quickly put out, the store was ventilated and there were no injuries.

Providing mutual aid were personnel from the Gravois and Mid-County Districts.
