The City of Camdenton renegotiates a deal for internet and telephone service for city hall and the police department.

The main issue, according to Mayor John McNabb, is that the regular monthly bill from A-T&T kept going up over the past year and a half…

“We kind of fell into one of those deals that, yeah, we got new service, and every few months they added this charge and that charge and everything. And it gotten to the point where it was considerably more than it started to be.”

Administrator Jeff Hooker says part of the reason was that the introductory rate expired…

“When we first got it and you guys passed it, there were some really great rates. And then over a year and a half, the rates had almost doubled. So this agreement with AT&T knocks the bills back down, but locks us in for three straight years.”

The new agreement with A-T&T locks the city into the new price for three years.
