Decision On College Football Playoffs For 2024 In Discussions As Officials Meet In Texas This Week

We told you earlier this week that it looks like the college football playoff in 2024 is going to go with five automatic qualifying conference championship winners to go along with seven potential at large bids.

And of course that would be part of the new 12 team college football playoff.

But interesting news coming out of Texas yesterday at the college football playoff meetings and that of course held with members of conference leadership that included conference commissioners.

Well some of that conversation included maybe even a 14 team playoff somewhere down the line maybe even just a couple of years from now.

Interesting to see that potential playoff grow as maybe those eligible for the playoff would actually that number get smaller.
