First Water Related Death Of The Year Happens In Northern Missouri

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the first water-related fatality of the year.

The report indicates that it happened late Friday afternoon in Lincoln County, in northeast Missouri, when a 60-year-old man from Elsberry fell through the ice near the 256-mile mark of the Mississippi River.

Video footage revealed the incident and search teams were able to recover the body on Saturday.
