It’s not necessarily a debate on the national scale but there has been some research done on whether ChatGPT users should be nice and polite or more direct and to the point when using the tool.
One of those who tends to believe in the nice approach is Lake Area Chamber Executive Morgan Boyland.
“That has been a topic of conversation at our conferences, too. People swear that the nicer you are to it, the more you get out of it.”
According to Scientific American, an online study by University of Pennsylvania Associate Professor Ethan Mollick says that nearly half of the respondents are polite with chatbox, while about 16 percent say they just give orders with politeness usually prompting better replies.
