Man Who Caused Fatal Crash In 2021 Has Trial Set For July 2023

A Morgan County judge has set the date for the start of a four-day trial of a Morgan County man who Highway Patrol investigators say caused a fatal crash in July of 2021.

The trial for Arthur Scott Wilson of Versailles will begin on July 11th next year.

Wilson’s charged with second-degree involuntary manslaughter, failure to drive on the right half of the road resulting in an accident, and failure to yield to an approaching vehicle.

The crash that killed 35 year old Jeffrey Smith of Stover happened on Highway 52 when Wilson made a left turn in front of Stover’s oncoming motorcycle.
