Missouri Continues Showing “Higher Than Average” Influenza Rates

The State of Missouri continues to report higher than average influenza rates compared to the rest of the country…that’s according to the CDC’s Weekly Influenza Summary.

Here in the lake area, for the week ending February 24th, the numbers show a mixed bag with reported cases down in Camden and Morgan counties while the reported cases were up in Miller and Benton counties.

Combined, the lake area reported 130 cases for week-8 which was up from 81 cases for week-7…Miller County reported the highest number of cases, 91, for the week.

Year-to-date, there have been 756 influenza cases reported across the lake area while the statewide number sat at 61,036 cases.
