Missouri ranks in the top one-third of the most fun states to visit according to a survey put together by WalletHub.com.
With California, Florida and Nevada occupying the top-three spots, in order, Missouri comes in at #16.
The Show Me State also ranks high at #5 for the most performing arts theaters per capita.
The survey also looked at other factors such as: the most restaurants and marinas per capita, the number of golf courses and country clubs per capita, and personal expenditures on recreational services per capita.
The least fun states, according to WalletHub.com include Delaware, West Virginia and Mississippi.

With summer just around the corner and 85% of Americans planning to take a summer trip, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2023’s Most Fun States in America, as well as expert commentary. To determine the states offering the greatest variety and most cost-effective options for enjoyment, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 26 key metrics.
