A quartet of researchers from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and NextGen Precision Health have received a nearly $1.2 million grant to look for a medication to help veterans suffering from cardiovascular disease and obesity.
The four-year project, which is funded by the Department of Veteran Affairs, will specifically take a look at how arteries become stiff and how to treat the problem when they do.
