The City of Osage Beach will have to do a little shuffling around of money after recently being notified about additional ARPA grant funds being received and the need to amend the 2023 Operating Budget.
Administrator Jeana Woods says the city received just over $100-thousand from Camden County, some $26-thousand in the form of an ARPA Peace Officer Grant and another $26-thousand for software and radio maintenance and repairs. Woods goes on to say the grant funds were unknown at the time the 2023 Operating Budget was completed.
All other expenditures associated with grant funding for the year were included in the formalized budget.
On Thursday of this next week, the board will meet with several items appearing on the published agenda.
Among them: proclamations to recognize National Volunteer Week and National Public Safety Telecommunications Week.
The board will also take care of several other business items including a request for the establishment of a Community Improvement District for Beach Drive and budget amendments.
The Osage Beach Board of Aldermen meeting, in city hall, is set to begin at 6:00 next Thursday, the 6th.
