If you’re out and about in Jefferson City on New Years’ Eve, be aware,

The Jefferson City Police Department made it official.

They WILL have extra officers on duty for the New Years’ Holiday.

In a press release, yesterday (Tuesday) the department made it clear that those extra officers will be enforcing traffic laws and seat belt violations.

JCPD announced that the laws against road rage or aggressive driving will be strictly enforced.

Though not explicitly mention in the press release, it’s a very good idea to have a designated sober driver as you make your way around to the parties, or call a taxi or an UBER.
