Woman Killed In Fatal Collision Off US 50 Near Lewis Drive

A 26-year-old from Florence is dead and one other injured after a three-vehicle accident on U-S-50 just west of Lewis Drive in Morgan County.

The highway patrol says it happened late Saturday afternoon when Kristan Price travelled into the opposite lane before an SUV driven by 37-yer-old Trenton Overhue of Nixa.

Overhue’s vehicle travelled off the roadway before coming to rest while the Ford Focus driven by Price crossed back over again and overturned after striking a third vehicle driven by 28-year-old Layne Fischer of Warrensburg.

Price was pronounced dead at the scene…it’s unknown if she was wearing a seat belt at the time.

Fischer was the only other one injured and was taken for minor injuries to a Sedalia hospital.
