Barge Sinks At The 41 Mile Marker Of The Main Channel

A sizable barge sank near the Lake shoreline near Mile Marker 41 on Tuesday afternoon but the circumstances remain unclear.

A tip to the KRMS news tip line by a caller who did not want to be identified says the vessel was in close proximity to another barge at the time.

There’s a report the sunken barge is owned by Horseshoe Bend Docks and Rip Rap.

KRMS News has made calls to the company but has not yet heard back.
