Teen Killed In Fiery Wreck In Maries County

A teenager from Dixon is dead after a fiery one-vehicle accident late Tuesday night on highway-N, west of highway-28, in Maries County.

The highway patrol says it happened when the vehicle driven by the unnamed 17-year-old traveled off the road before striking a tree and catching on fire.

The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time and pronounced dead at the scene.
