Fire In Greenview Damages Storage Building

On December 20, 2022, at 1:23 PM, the Mid-County Fire Protection District, MCFPD, was dispatched to a reported structure fire on El Tampa Road in Greenview.
First arriving firefighters found fire and smoke showing from a metal storage building. Firefighters started attacking the fire and made entry into the building.
The fire was marked under control 20 minutes after the firefighters arrived on scene. This fire occurred in an area with no fire hydrants and tankers were used to shuttle water to the fire.
The owner was on scene when firefighters arrived and advised that there were no occupants in the building. There were no injuries reported with this fire incident.
The building suffered fire, smoke, and water damage. The fire was investigated by the MCFPD Fire Marshal’s Office & the cause of the fire was an accidental electrical issue.
MCFPD responded to the scene with 1 Engine, 1 Squad, 4 Tankers and was assisted at the scene with a unit from Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District and Southwest Electric.
Additionally, the Osage Beach Fire Protection District moved up to MCFPD station 1 in Camdenton to standby and respond to any additional emergency incidents.
All firefighters cleared the fire scene at 3:37 PM.
