Abundant supplies and declining crude oil prices are the driving forces behind the lowest national average for gasoline prices since 2004. The Triple-A’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report shows the current Missouri average coming in at $1.96 per gallon for regular unleaded and $2.44 for premium…about 25-cents below the national averages. That compares to $2.53 per gallon for regular and $2.88 for premium one year ago. Here in the Lake Area, prices are ranging from $1.76 per gallon for regular unleaded in Camdenton to $1.81 per gallon in Eldon. On the water, boaters are paying an average around the lake anywhere from $2.29 to $2.99 per gallon for regular.
