National Guard To Be Deployed To Africa After New Year

Another contingent of Missouri National Guard members will deploy to another country shortly after the new year begins.

The Army National Guard’s 294th Engineer Company will deploy to the Horn of Africa on January 4th, where their mission will be to construction projects to achieve and sustain military operations in the area.

In a statement the Missouri Guard says “These construction tasks throughout the country are crucial for contingency operations and will have a positive impact on real-world issues.”

A deployment ceremony will be held on the morning of the 4th at Carthage High School.
